The Gift of Teaching Yoga

Last week in one of my my early elementary yoga programs, we talked about positive affirmations - when we think positive things about ourselves, we are more likely to see those positive things happening.  It also easily translates to things we are grateful for.  We did an art project where the children drew a self-portrait, and then wrote positive affirmations about themselves.  Things they wrote included:  I love my family.  I take good care of myself.  I am caring.  I am generous.  I am kind.  I am helpful.  I am patient.  Several days later, Louisa was inspired to do this on her own at home...
...I love the work that I do.
